Pamela Johnson

Biography

Pamela Johnson is the Head of Culture Programmes at Leeds City Council. She has been a dancer with DV8 Physical Theatre and Phoenix Dance Theatre and has transformed the landscape of dance through arts administration while working as dance officer for north west England and relationship manager with Arts Council England, as outreach development manager for Kokuma Dance Theatre Company in Birmingham, and as Principal Officer for Culture & Sport at the Leeds City Council. As an alumna of the first cohort of Northern School of Contemporary Dance, she has been conferred an Honorary Fellowship and a recipient of Young Achiever in the Arts and Woman of Achievement awards for her contribution to arts development in Yorkshire.
