Anusha Subramanyam is an exponent of Bharatanatyam, a performer, dance maker, teacher, and dance movement therapist, who has focused on integrating dance, education, and somatic practices into her work. Her work is transcultural and intergenerational. She has received the Asian Women Achievement Award in Culture by IWA, UK (2011) and ‘Nritya Acharya Ratna’ by Milapfest (2017). Her foundation Beeja Dance works with other performers through performances, workshops, residencies, produces Dance Festival Croydon, and curates dance for Croydon Mela.
