Pushkala Gopal is a Bharatanatyam artiste with experience in difference aspects of the art form. She is a choreographer, composer, lecturer, trainer and performer, having mastered various teaching styles for workshops and traditional training. In the role of former Director of the Academy of Indian Dance till 1984, she crafted a space for dances of south Asia in the UK.
