William Tweedie 1821 - 1874
Biography
William Tweedie was a member of the Temperance movement and published a number of antislavery documents of which the most famous was the best seller Running a Thousand Miles for Freedom: The Escape of William and Ellen Craft from Slavery by Ellen and William Craft, written by slaves who ran to England.
