I have decided to donate one of the earrings I had made in Ghana twenty years ago and have worn ever since. It is based on one of the Ghanaian Adinkra symbols, NKYINKYIM, which is the symbol of 'initiative, dynamism and versatility'. These are all qualities that inform my day-to-day practice. Adinkra symbols represent the inherent wisdom that underpins my own and many other African cultures.
