Kwame ‘H’ Patten is the Artistic Director of Koromanti Arts and ‘H’ Patten Dance Theatre Company, and the founder of Korotech Dancefest Professional Development Training Programme. A former principal artist in Danse de L’Afrique and Adzido Pan-African Dance Ensemble, ‘H’ has developed an international reputation in African and Caribbean arts over three decades. He has choreographed for the Ghanaian, Nigerian, Sierra Leonean, Malawian, and Zambian national dance companies and the Stella Maris Dance Ensemble in Jamaica. He is an experienced choreographer, filmmaker, visual artist, storyteller, performer, researcher of African- Caribbean dance, and the author of Reading Religion and Spirituality in Jamaican Reggae Dancehall Dance: Spirit Bodies Moving (2022). He was awarded the Jamaican High Commission’s 50th Anniversary award for services in the field of Arts, Culture and Entertainment (2012).
