Ashley Walters, also known as Asher D, is an esteemed actor, rapper, and director. Walters grew up in London and studied performing arts at the Sylvia Young Theatre School as a child. His career started in music as a member of the UK garage group ‘So Solid Crew.’ Walters first regularly appeared on British television in 1997, playing Andy Phillips on Grange Hill. Walters is well-known for his seminal role as Dushane in Top Boy, which first aired in 2011 on Channel 4. Walters was also executive producer for the fourth and fifth seasons.
