Shreela Ghosh is a former actress, dancer, and reporter. Ghosh was one of the original cast members on EastEnders and one of the first South Asian characters on the soap. She featured in other British television shows but left acting due to frustrations with being typecast. She retrained as a news reporter and made documentaries. Ghosh is now a prominent arts executive and has worked in several prominent organisations and companies, such as the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the Institute of International Visual Arts; she’s currently the director of the Free Word Centre.
